Wooden Boxes

Babushkas beautiful Polish style boxes are both attractive and functional. These pretty decorative wooden boxes make great additions to any room of the house and can also help keep it organized! Polish style boxes also make wonderful heirloom gifts.

Box making is a time honored Polish tradition that started in the Tatra mountains. Most of the boxes are made of Linden wood. These individually handcrafted decorative boxes may be carved, painted, stained, have brass inlay, and/or burned. Some of the more elaborate boxes combine several of these techniques. Others may have a more simple elegance with just the right touch of one of the techniques.

Most are unlined unless otherwise noted. Also unless noted otherwise, all of our Polish style boxes have hinged lids with recessed hinges.
